Taha Wairua
Why do we do this every morning? : Karakia, Mihi, Himene?
Welcome back blog readers, so today for our Te Whare Tapa Wha work, we were looking into Taha Wairua. Mrs Tele'a challenged us by working in groups or pairs and answering this question: Why do we do Karakia, Mihi, Himene every morning? As a class with each of our ideas this is what we came up with:
- To connect to Atua, greater power source
- Connect- Remember our ancestors, Whanau
- Know where we are from
- Build confidence to speak and represent ourselves and whanau
- To get ready for the day and as well as our future
- To grow closer to God and Jesus
