2.5 He aha te tae? (Makawe)

WALT: ask and answer questions about what things are!

Kia Ora and here is our Te Reo Maori lesson this week. Our question is 'He aha te tae o to makawe?' which means 'What colour is your hair?'. We had to reflect back to colours in Maori. For our creative task we had 2 options to express the new phrases we have learnt today. I chose to do this task by creating a poster, ENJOY!!!

Taha Wairua Poster!!!

Taha Wairua

Greetings to all and welcome back to my blog. Today we did another Whare Tapa Wha activity, we chose to do Taha Wairua (Spiritual Health). For our task today we had to create another poster but this time we had to show three things that can help us with our Taha Wairua. The things I listed were:

  1. Listening to happy and calming songs
  2. Doing Meditation
  3. Praying
There are much more things that I can think of as well. You can also read the bible and give a gift to someone. Doing things like this will help strengthen your Wairua in no time you don't want to end up as a sad or useless person sitting at home as your Taha Wairua slowly breaks down. I encourage everyone to do these listed things so that their Taha Wairua stays alright.

WLJ: Poster! Activity 5

Winter Learning Journey: Poster
Week 1, Activity 5
Kia ora, Malo e lelei, Talofa Lava, Greetings to all and Welcome back to my blog. Today I'll be blogging to you, the last activity of my Winter learning Journey for WEEK 1. There will be more winter learning journey blog posts next week for WEEK 2, now back to my last WLJ activity for week 1.

Task: Create a poster that shows 3 key quotes you have heard your parents/whanau say since your return to school in level 2. They must be quotes/sayings that you find helpful from your whanau. After that post on your blog with a written explanation for each quote.

Explanation

"Make sure to wash your hands before eating dinner!" by Mum - My mum always uses this quote to me and my siblings before we start eating our dinner because it's helpful for us to remember to stay clean by washing our hands just in case we have any germs and that we don't spread it to others.

"If you feel sick, stay home and don't go to school!" by Nana-
My Nana always uses this quote to my little sister and cousin because they always got the flu or cold some days during school at level 2. So whenever she sees them cough a lot of have a really runny nose, she gives them this ginger medicine drink, puts them back into bed and tells them to stay home. She also does this with me and my other siblings sometimes.

"Sleep early for school!" - Nana and Mum
Both my Nana and Mum tells us these 4 words whenever it's a school night, they don't like us staying up long when it's a school night because they both know that when we sleep late, we won't get enough sleep and that would lead up to us  waking up very late and getting all cranky and tired for school the next day. If they catch us on our electronic devices they usually take it off us and give them back to us the next day.

Easter Learning Journey: Day 10, Week 2, Poster

Poster: I Hope That....

Today for my Friday activity for week 2 in our Easter Learning Journey we had to create a poster that
provides 2 different things that I am hopeful today. My first one was about staying kind and safe to each other because right now we are really needing to stay cool so that we can get through this hard time of year. And my second one is about me hoping to have strength and happiness on my family, community, school and friends.
Maybe you can sit down and make a poster about the things you hopeful TODAY! too.

Taha Whanau Poster

In our Inquiry lessons we have been learning all about Te Whare Tapa Wha                              and what it is all about. Today to reflect more on it, we had to create a poster                              about one Taha in Te Whare Tapa Wha. I chose Taha Whanau which is all                                    about family, friends, support and love. Read more on my poster to learn                                        more about Taha Whanau.
