Dogs are way bettter than cats !

Topic : Dogs are better than cats !

What makes the best pet to have ? Dogs ( Yay ) or Cats ( Eh ).

To the people that believe cats are better, you are mistakenly wrong. Lucky for you thats why I am here, to tell you why dogs are the best choice to choose. Without a doubt dogs are better than cats as they make a better pet,  here’s why …..

Reason No.1 ,  Dogs are loyal companions. You may think that this is hard to believe but dogs are actually loyal to their owners. They are known to stick with you to the end. They’ll stay with you forever as you are known to them as your leader. To scientists knowledge as dogs grow and build up, they become more familiar with its owner which strengthens a great and strong bond between you and your dog that’ll last a lifetime.

Reason No.2 , Dogs make everyone’s life happy. What’s life without dogs that are certain to make you day better ? Picture this, you lying lonely on the couch, eating your chip crumbs that have been falling out of you mouth, boring right ! Well lets bring a dog into the picture, a fluffy, happy, fur of joy jumping around. You start laughing and the dogs starts making your day. As you can see this is how dogs can make everyone's day.

Cyclone in Papatoetoe

 Cyclones in Papatoetoe !

Kia ora and welcome back to my blog ! In recent news, there have been reports that cyclones have occured in Papatoetoe, South Auckland and created devastating wrecks in some streets. By the wrecks of the cyclone it has damaged houses, buildings and left houses unavailable for the families that lived near the disaster. I pray that the familes stay safe, find food and shelter as soon as possible and the parents stay strong if they have any children that were in the disaster.

For those who may not be familiar with cyclones, a cyclone is a large scale air mass that rotates around a strong center of low atmospheric pressure, counterclockkwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere as viewed from above .

So now that you're familiar with cyclones and what happened to a street in Papatoetoe, we should keep the familes and houses that were disturbed in our prayers and that they wont struggle anymore. We hope you guys keep pushing, staying safe and find new equiment for your wellbeing as soon as possible.

Explanation Writing : Why is it good to have a school picnic?

Why is it good to have a school picnic?

Introduction:

Every year at Pt England school, we have a school picnic. The school picnic is held at the Pt England beach which is only a small walk away from our school. This is a day where we get to get away from school, have heaps of fun and get to bond with everyone.

Reason 1:

Having fun while, spending the day at the beach is one of the many reasons why we have a school picnic. We find many ways to have fun at the beach. We play with the sand, making sand castles. Sports games are organised on the grass areas like tag, volleyball and bike riding for those who enjoy sports. Lastly when  the tide is in, our teachers let us swim and do bombs from the high rock.

Reason 2:

The second reason why we have  a school picnic is because we have the chance to bond with our friends. Over the school holidays, we don't normally see our friends so this is the day to catch up and enjoy our time together. We get to  chat for as long as we want , sit down and eat or even play on the playground together. No matter what we do as long as it gives us time to bond with each other.

Reason 3:

The last reason why we have school picnics is because we need a break from work (students AND teachers). We do heaps of work each week and as it gets hot now and then, we should at least have a break and chill at the beach with everyone. This also gives us an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful outdoors, as we always stay in class and do work.

Conclusion:

As you can see these are the reasons why it is good to have a school picnic every year. We get to bond with our friends, new teachers and family, finally have a break from heaps of work and most importantly have heaps of fun.

So sit back and relax while I explain the 2nd activity for the Spring Learning Journey, Wk 1.

Activity 2 (Facts): Romeo and Juliet

Along with the tasks set up for us, they provide fun facts about the people that we are learning about. The person that this activity is about was  a famous author, poet and playwright. He is best known for playing roles amazingly in plays and one of is famous plays is Romeo and Juliet. You've guessed it, it's William Shakespheare.
So before we get into the activity let me share you some more facts about him.
  1. Shakespheare was born on the  26th April 1564
  2. Shakespheare is widely considered the world's best dramatist
  3. He wrote 38 plays and 154 sonnets
  4. He married to Anne Hathaway when he was only 18
  5. Then he had 2 twins, Hamnet and Judith

Shakesprearean English Task

So for this task today I had to learn more about Shakesprearean English. Shakesprearean English is the version of english Shakespheare  used in most of his plays. To practice being like Shakespheare we had to write a small recount of what we did in the morning. Then after that we had to use a translating tool that translates it into Shakesprearean English.

Myths & Legends: Option 1

Getting Creative with Myths & Legends

Option 1:

Task Description- For our social study task this week Mrs Tele'a gave us heaps of options to work on that all relate to Myths and Legends. For option 1 we had to write an epic tale, myth or legend. We have to create the bad guy, hero and the plot. It could be short or long, here is the tale I wrote. It is a tale about dragons, sisters, royalty and much more. This tale also teaches a moral that every person must remember. I know what it is like to not be jealous of other people and their stuff but we all have to do the right thing.
I'll be posting more of the different options for this soon.
ENJOY!!
