WALT: Ask and answer questions about what you like

Today we had our Te Reo Maori lesson on google meets. My teacher was Ms Tapuke and the question we learnt about was
'He aha to hiahia' which means 'What do you want'. The answer to this question would be 'He ___ taku hiahia, which mean I want a __ in that space you would put in one of these new vocabulary we learnt...
  1. Moe- Sleep
  2. Takaro- Play
  3. Horoi- Shower
  4. Tuhituhi- Write
  5. Panui- Read
  6. Mahi-Work
We starting asking each other answers and questions which was really fun. For the creative task we had to create a comic strip or poster dealing with the new things we learnt today. Thank you Ms Tapuke for another wonderful and fun Te Reo Maori lesson.

Maths Warm up

Task Description: Before starting our maths task about measurement Mrs Tele'a gave us a warm up activity. First was addition, we had to +7  on each number, e.g 7+2=9 . Second was mixed math operations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication). Last but not least some extra math problems like was is the prefix (start of a word) for kilogram, kilometre, etc. Square room perimeter problems and math riddles. The thing I like about maths warm ups is that it gives our brains enough energy and boost for the real things. Thank you Mrs Tele'a for making this for us.

Roland Fish Rises Up by Mary- Jane Stewart

Roland Fish Rises Up

by Mary-Jane Stewart

Today's new reading text is called Roland Fish Rises Up. This book was very fun and interesting to read. It was about a school boy named Roland Fish who is not popular, smart or fits in. He gets picked on a lot by Tim O'malley (School's big bully), but Roland doesn't let that take over him. We did our regular stuff like our grammer work, highlighting subjects, verbs and identifying what sentences are Independent and Dependent and how many clauses are there in a sentence. For our paragraph writing we had to explain a moment on what we have to do if someone picks on you. ENJOY!!!
