Special Friday's Assembly
Yay! Today is Friday, the last day of the week, so what do we do on Friday Mornings?.
What we usually do in the morning are school assemblies where everyone in Pt England School come together in our School Hall and start our assembly. Today's assembly was really special because we had 2 special guests come and join us at assembly today, he is a New Zealand professional boxer of Samoan Heritage and a great guitar player, you've guessed it the one and only Joseph Parker. and his amazing sister Elizabeth Parker.
Once we welcomed Joseph to the stage he gave us some quotes to remember every day in life. The first one was 'Believe in Yourself' and the second one was 'Nothing beats hard work'. This was really inspiring to me and others.
If I had the chance to talk to him I would've asked him 'What made you want to do boxing in the first place?' and 'Who pushed you to become who you are now?'
My thanks go to Mr Burt or whoever made this happen and my next Thanks go to Joseph and Elizabeth Parker for coming. Thank you so much!
