Our Father- English Prayer

Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name; Thy
Kingdom come thy will be done
on earth as it is in Heaven. Give
us this day our daily bread; and
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us; and leave
us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.                                                                                        Amen.

  1. How good for you! Hannah can you now say the Tongan prayer from memory. I knew that when you arrived back from Australia last year this was a goal for you - to learn more of your Tongan language. This is a great thing to learn as you will participate in family lotu and be able to join in with the whole family. Well done you!

  2. Malo e lelei Hannah!

Congratulations on completing your first TAHA CHALLENGE!

When I was a kid and went to Sunday school, we had to learn the Lord's Prayer off by heart. I practiced and practiced, learning sentence by sentence but eventually I got it. I was so happy!

I love that it is has been translated into so many different languages. I think a new TAHA WAIRUA challenge for me is to learn the Lord's Prayer, by heart ,in Māori. I will check back in with you in a couple of weeks and let you know how I got on:)

Take care for now - stay safe!
    Ms. Tapuke
