I found this book very interesting because it was about a young girl who was half Pakeha and Samoan. She had green eyes that made her look like a black cat, she was really ashamed of it. Her green eyes were really rare in her culture. She was very embarrassed when people would look at her but her wise grandmother would always say to be confident in her culture and appearance. This would make her feel much better.
