Multiplication Magic o.2

Task Description: Our 2nd Maths Task for this week is Called "Multiplication Magic 0.2". This Task focused on our Multiplication skills  I find Multiplication easy by using  1 digit numbers but with 2 digit numbers, this was quite the challenge.  Luckily this video taught me a much easier strategy that helps me work on multiplying 2 digit numbers very quickly and easily. Now I'm more comfortable solving any Multiplication problem with a new strategy.

Multiples & Factors

Walt: Identify the of Multiples & Factors out of different Numbers!
Task Description: Today in our Maths Lesson with Mrs Stone, we have just had a Maths Google Meet for today, as we are aware as it is still Level 3 Lock-down. Our Maths Task today was a recap on our knowledge on Multiples and Factors.

 1. Multiples = Multiples are like the times tables (they are the product of a multiplication sum).
 2. Factors = The factors of a number are the numbers that multiply together to make it.

So we had to identify the multiples & Factors from the different numbers that were given.

We do class google meets that require students from each Team or class to go into. Some people are always onto it but some might be still learning to use google meets and enter class calls, so here are a few tips on what you must know whenever u enter a google meet. There are also some links to useful tabs that I'll be using a lot to prepare myself for the school year. Hope this helps!

(also thank-you to Mr Goodwin for creating this challenge)

Explanation Writing : Why is it good to have a school picnic?

Why is it good to have a school picnic?

Introduction:

Every year at Pt England school, we have a school picnic. The school picnic is held at the Pt England beach which is only a small walk away from our school. This is a day where we get to get away from school, have heaps of fun and get to bond with everyone.

Reason 1:

Having fun while, spending the day at the beach is one of the many reasons why we have a school picnic. We find many ways to have fun at the beach. We play with the sand, making sand castles. Sports games are organised on the grass areas like tag, volleyball and bike riding for those who enjoy sports. Lastly when  the tide is in, our teachers let us swim and do bombs from the high rock.

Reason 2:

The second reason why we have  a school picnic is because we have the chance to bond with our friends. Over the school holidays, we don't normally see our friends so this is the day to catch up and enjoy our time together. We get to  chat for as long as we want , sit down and eat or even play on the playground together. No matter what we do as long as it gives us time to bond with each other.

Reason 3:

The last reason why we have school picnics is because we need a break from work (students AND teachers). We do heaps of work each week and as it gets hot now and then, we should at least have a break and chill at the beach with everyone. This also gives us an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful outdoors, as we always stay in class and do work.

Conclusion:

As you can see these are the reasons why it is good to have a school picnic every year. We get to bond with our friends, new teachers and family, finally have a break from heaps of work and most importantly have heaps of fun.
